HÔTEL NELLIGAN: YOUR MONTRÉAL DREAM OASIS

AND THE ONLY PLACE TO STAY IN THE HEART OF OLD MONTRÉAL

Located within walking distance to the cobblestone streets of Old Town, some of the best restaurants and bars, and the Notre-Dame Basilica, Hôtel Nelligan is everything you could want and more a luxurious modern experience enveloped in old-world charm.

If you’re not paying close attention it’s easy to walk by the entrance on Rue Saint-Paul but once inside you’re immediately greeted with chic, understated elegance. The friendliness and openness of the staff make you almost forget that you’ve walked into a 4-star hotel — until you walk into your room.

I was lucky enough to be set up in a room with perfect views of Old Montréal right outside of my dual wrought iron windows which quickly give you, even more of, a sense of how walkable this part of the city (and the city as a whole) is. The brown and white tones of the room were perfectly complimented by the exposed brick running the entirety of the wall behind the insanely comfortable and pillowy soft queen bed and lounging couch. To put it simply the room I was able to enjoy is what you wish your apartment looked like.

Outfitted with a coffee machine, flat screen tv, gauze curtains allowing soft white light to flow into the room, and a surprisingly large fireplace, Hôtel Nelligan's accommodations almost make you not want to leave to go out and explore.

But, once you step into your bathroom the thought of not leaving might just become a reality, as the en suite features huge walk-in showers, the cutest vanity sink, an almost full wall mirror, and the most amazing luxe jacuzzi tub you could ask for! I was in heaven.

Aside from how gorgeous the rooms and the stylish architecture of the hotel are, upstairs the rooftop features a terrace that cannot be missed! In the summer, Montréal prides itself on its terrace culture and Hôtel Nelligan’s terrace doesn't disappoint with its spectacular views of the city.

The dining area and connected lobby offer lounging options galore and the daily continental breakfast, which is included in your stay, provides you with coffee, juice, fresh fruit, eggs, cheese, meats, pastries and those famous Montréal bagels.

Because I was visiting Montréal in the summer I wanted to be outside most of the time during my stay. But I could not have been more pleased with the room I received.

Weather will never deter my plans on coming back to Montréal and it's on the books to return for one of the city's greatest winter festivals, Igloofest. At that time I plan on taking full advantage of Nelligan's fabulous fireplaces and winter amenities.

For current availability and rates check out the hotel's website. I was lucky enough to experience the Hôtel Nelligan as a guest of the hotel, but would highly recommend it to anyone coming to visit Montréal.

Don't forget to pin this post for later. You don't want to have to stay somewhere you regret. :)
